Prints on Pottery & Decorative Gift Plates
An additional option to capture the prints of your child, is to have their hand or foot impressions taken on an unpainted pottery item.
There are 2 ways of getting this done. You could create your own pottery piece by taking your child's prints and doing any decoration your want yourself, or you could place an order for the prints to be taken and the hand decoration of the plate to be done for you.
Create your own prints on pottery:
Creating your own prints on pottery can be done by organising a group pottery painting session at your home or at a baby or toddler group where the mum's can take the prints of their child and decorate the plates on their own. Prices for self painted items are:
Conical Beaker: £9
22 cm Rimmed plate: £12
25 cm Coupe plate: £15
The above would include providing the pottery piece, taking it away to be glazed and fired and delivering them back to the venue. The painting session would be for upto 1.5 hours and would require a minimum total order value of £85.
Prints on Pottery - Decorative Gift Plate (to order):
Prints on pottery to order will take away all the work from you. Prints to order are done only on plates. The prints will be taken for you. The plate will then be hand painted and decorated around your child’s print to create a beautiful and unusual memory that is personal to your child.
This option for taking the prints is dependent on the size of the plate that you choose and not the age of your child or the number of prints on the plate.
The plates come in 2 sizes:
22 cm Rimmed plate
25 cm Coupe plate

The prices for the 2 sizes of plates are below. This includes the cost of the plate, taking the print and hand painting the decoration around the print, glazing and firing the plate.

The prints can be taken at a group session organised by Sweet Imprints. Please contact for details on the next group session. For orders of 3 or more, a private home print taking session can be organised for customers local to Reading. Home visits can also be organised for customers further away for an additional conveyance charge. Please contact if you would like to know the conveyance charge to your home.
